Hendee designs and builds these permanent structures to withstand nature’s most challenging conditions of high wind, heavy snow loads and harsh sun levels.  All Hendee garden centers are designed to efficiently and economicall meet your specific building codes and are adapted to fit your environmental and geographical conditions. Inside, the efficiently designed environmental control systems offer maximum year round use of these flexible facilities. Most commonly, such sophisticated facilities are associated with major retailer like, Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe’s, or Home Depot.

Gabled Style Shade Houses

Roofs

• Constructed of high quality polycarbonate, selected for its strength, durability and clarity
• Polycarbonate will not crack/split when cut or drilled
• Impact strength is 200 Impact times greater than glass
• Will not break as a direct result of hail
• Retains appearance and transparency

Structural Frame

• Manufactured from allied structural steel tubing
• Triple layer coating inhibits corrosion, flaking and chipping
• Frames retain smooth, attractive appearance
• 50,000 psi yield strength; 55,000 psi tensile strength

Hoop Style Shade House 
The Hoop Style Shade House is designed to stand-alone or it can be placed adjacent to existing structures. The distinctive curved roof style can accent the architecture already in place, or add its own appeal as a dynamic addition.

• Features 2" Aluminum trusses and bracing
• All mounting hardware included
• Cost efficient alternative to traditional greenhouses
• Translucent white solid fabric tops provides excellent light levels
• Protects customers, as well as plants, from adverse weather
• Multiple hoop canopies can be grouped to increase selling space

Triangular Truss Shade System 
Designed to provide maximum merchandising space and a cost effective means to protect plants and gardening supplies from harsh weather, the Triangular Truss System has been engineered for durability and ease of installation. Shade panels are attached to the aluminum trusses with springs for easy installation and removal. Aluminum components and galvanized columns ensure years of maintenance free usage.

• Sturdy aluminum triangular trusses are engineered for strength
• Bottom chord: 1 1/4" 6063-T5 Schedule 40 aluminum tube
• Top chords: 3/4" 6063-T6 Schedule 40 aluminum tube
• Web members: 1/2" Schedule 40 aluminum tube
• Columns: 3" Schedule 40 galvanized steel post
• Baseplates: 8" x 8" x 3/8" steel plate
• Standard bay: width 13 ft., length 20 ft.

Fabric

• Enduro® 63% custom shade panels
• 2" webbing for edge reinforcement
• 2 3/8" brass spur grommets @ 12" o.c.
• Shade panels are attached to trusses with stainless steel springs, 3.7" in length with 1-11/16" loops, made in conformance with SST-302 ASTMA-A-313.

Warren Truss Shade System 
The Warren Truss Shade System allows for increased column spacing over the conventional pipe frame systems and provides an economical alternative for shading your merchandising areas. The entire system is flexible and can be designed to meet applicable building codes or modified to suit your specific needs.

Structure

• 8" High aluminum "Warren" style trusses, fabricated using 1" x 1" x .125" wall T-5 tubing for chord members and 1" x 1" x .065" wall T-5 tubing for web members

or

• 12" High aluminum "Bent Web" style trusses, fabricated using 1" x 1" x .125" wall T-5 tubing for chord members and 3/4" schedule 40 round tube for web members
• Standard 3" schedule 40 x 13'-6" High galvanized steel columns with baseplates
• All mounting brackets, crossbraces, lacing bars and fasteners included.
• Maximum bay width 12', length 28'

Fabric

• Enduro Shade, 63% shade fabric
• 2" webbing for edge reinforcement
• 2 3/8" brass spur grommets @ 12" centers
• Shade panels are attached using 1/8" black/white diamond braid polyester lacing cord

Garden Center Accessories

Irrigation
Greenhouse irrigation systems designed to effectively water the garden center without the use of hoses or other methods

The greenhouse watering system is controlled through the use of a Toro II low voltage controller.

The watering times and zones can be controlled

Watering efficiency is gained through the use of directional spray nozzles with a wide angle pattern

Roll-Ups
Gear operated roll up greenhouse walls afford the ability to effectively enclose the garden center area during times of inclement weather.

Velcro flaps secure curtains together to reduce the amount of wind and rain from penetrating the garden shop area.

Features 20 gauge clear vinyl windows with16 ounce vinyl tri-laminate borders.

Windscreen
Provides an effective wind break and weather protection for both plants and customers.

Additional shading for areas that receive direct sunlight.

Shade cloth is easily attached to all types of fencing by either tie straps or lacing cord.

Plant Hangers
Carbon steel frame supports plants and flowerpots for product display.

This innovative approach to merchandising increases floor space

Plant hangers displays more product to the customer and increases potential sales

Bungee Balls
Easy to use, durable, and the quickest method to securely fasten the shade panels to the structural framing

The standard color is black, but bungee balls can be obtained in other colors as shown in the picture

Baseplates
Big baseplates allow the modular designs to group effectively

Adds additional strength of (2) posts when bracketed together

Baseplates comes with pre-drilled holes for anchoring
